Vice president and general manager, Latin America and the Caribbean
Kronos Incorporated

Gabriel Alvarado Fajardo is the vice president and general manager of Latin America and the Caribbean for Kronos. Responsible for all sales and professional services operations in his geographies, Alvarado is dedicated to growing the regional Kronos brand and supporting local organizations through their own growth and development as they aim to build workforce productivity and efficiency. He oversees the success of both existing and prospective customers and works closely with sales operations (including direct and indirect sales), as well as pre-sales, consulting, marketing, finance, and tech support functions, to ensure regional customers have the tools and resources they need, when they need them.

Alvarado initially joined Kronos in 2009 as the manager for regional Mexico operations, where he focused on demonstrating the value of workforce management solutions to organizations of all scopes and sizes. Under his leadership, the Kronos Mexico customer base has continued to grow year over year.

An expert in the field of information technology (IT) operations, Alvarado led regional organizations at several multinational IT companies before he joined Kronos. Most recently, as vice president of sales and developed channels at SAP, he focused on building strong relationships with key business decision makers in Mexico and Central America and converting them into clients or partners. Prior to SAP, Alvarado spent 12 years at Symantec as founder of the Mexico office and then senior director of operations for Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela, positioning the company as the leader in information security in Mexico and the wider Latin America region. This led to the region growing rapidly in both revenue and profit, and Alvarado received an award for global excellence in leadership in 2004.

Alvarado earned an electronic engineering degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
