As senior vice president of global sales, John O’Brien is responsible for managing the sales of Kronos products and services. Under his leadership, Kronos sales – particularly its booming cloud business continue to outpace the market, a testament to the specialized salesforce whose vertical-specific expertise results in value-add for customers and prospects.
O’Brien joined Kronos in 2006 with a more than 20-year record of driving ground-breaking revenue growth at such well-known Fortune 200 companies as EMC and Xerox Corporation. Prior to joining Kronos, O’Brien spent six years at EMC as vice president of global accounts, responsible for driving revenue and customer satisfaction for EMC’s largest and most strategic accounts. During his tenure, global accounts grew at 25 percent per year – twice the EMC average.
Before making his mark at EMC, O’Brien established his reputation as a sales leader at Xerox Corporation. Frequently recognized as one of Xerox’s top revenue producers over the course of his tenure, O’Brien quickly rose through the ranks to senior vice president and general manager. O’Brien oversaw a $2 billion revenue stream as he created and managed Xerox’s financial services and healthcare operations for the Americas. During his tenure with Xerox, O’Brien also served as vice president of marketing and vice president and general manager for the New England region.
O’Brien holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York and has completed advanced professional development at Harvard Business School and Kellogg School of Management.
