Mark Julien, Kronos chief financial officer, brings extensive experience to his role overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial operations. Julien’s passion for results and financial transparency has helped propel Kronos to new levels of financial success as the global leader in workforce management in the cloud.
Julien is responsible for the company’s global financial planning, accounting, reporting, analysis, tax and treasury, and financial administrative operations. Kronos has conducted more than 55 acquisitions since Julien joined the company – more than a dozen since he was CFO – for which he was responsible for financial analysis.
Kronos was publicly held and traded on Nasdaq from 1992 to 2007, with an incredible track record of revenue growth and profitability achieved by very few other publicly traded software companies. In 2007, Julien played a key role in negotiating the sale of Kronos to private-equity firm Hellman & Friedman for $1.8 billion, and subsequently in executing various modifications to the company’s capital structure.
Earlier in his career, Julien was a certified public accountant (CPA) at Ernst & Young.
Julien earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and has participated in a series of executive education programs, including the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute at Stanford University.
